Our New Addition

Here is our new addition to the family... So when you are looking for us this summer... come to the Campground and you will find us! We are very excited and hoping we will be settled by the end of the month...

Hoppy Easter

I hope everyone had a great Easter! Cole and Zoe had their egg hunt right after getting out of bed, as usual. It was a little chilly, but not as bad as a couple of years ago when there was snow on the ground. We don't even attempt the public egg hunts as I was very discouraged after multiple years of my children getting trampled on by the older kids and then they wouldn't even get very many eggs. Cole did figure out this year that there is no Easter Bunny... it was a surprise to me, but I knew that it would come some day... We told him we would be honest with him, but he had to help us keep the secret so that Zoe could still enjoy it! I am just waiting for the day that he figures out the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus... the day will come before we know it!

We spent the holiday with my family and had a blast. We had my nephew, Race, here and he participated in his first easter egg hunt with Cole & Zoe. I also had the opportunity to finally meet Kili's boyfriend, Mike. He was very nice and it was great to finally meet him.

My thoughts...

I haven't quite figured out yet why I am having such a hard time keeping up on my entries... I am not any busier than I was before. Oh well... Here is some updates on the last couple of weeks.
*Zoe & I went to McDonald's a couple of weeks ago for her classroom field trip. I hadn't made it on this field trip with Cole, so I was a little surprised to see how McDonald's can really be hands-off on a lot of their processes. Zoe had a ball and even got me into the play area... The slides really are not built for adults... She had a lot of fun... Zoe & Kalli were, as usual, inseparable.

*Cole & Zoe both went to see the eye doctor yesterday. Zoe had to go since she will be entering kindgergarten in the fall and I thought I would take Cole just so we can be reassured that his eyes are not the reason for his reading difficulties. Both of them are normal for eyesight... as the doctor said that most children have a little bit of farsightedness.
*I can't figure out why I have no energy to start working out again... I would love to start walking on the treadmill and elliptical again, but I just can't seem to find the energy for it. If anyone knows how to get motivated... please let me know.
*Cole & Zoe also got haircuts yesterday. Todd & I finally gave in and let Zoe get a shorter haircut... and Cole thought he was getting a little warm since it has been a little nicer out, so he gave up the idea of looking like Zach Efron (Troy Bolton on HSM) and went for a shorter cut also. I will post pics when I get a chance to take them....

Well that is all for now... I will try to be better at this and keep everyone posted on our daily happenings...

Where does the time go?

Okay so I know that I have asked this question again, but where does the time go??? Well I will let you know what I have been up to the last week.
*On Cole's birthday (last Sunday), Zoe started vomiting and running a low grade fever. This persisted along with some other things until Wednesday afternoon. It was a long week... I love my little girl to the ends of the earth, but she is high maintenance when she is sick!!! I can't go very far and she usually just wants me to sit with her... and do nothing all day and all night! She didn't go to school at all last week, so she had a nice 2 wk break (as they didn't have school the week before for preschool screening).
*Thursday and Friday were okay days... I pretty much kept a close watch on Zoe to make sure that she was on the mend again.
*Friday night we watched the movie Kit Kittredge... the kids loved this movie!!! When the movie was over, Zoe said that she needs to buy it because she wants to watch it again.
*The past weekend was beautiful outside!!! We loved it so much that we spent the whole weekend outside!!! Now this did mean that I didn't get any work done in the house, but I will have all week and next weekend to work on that (it doesn't go anywhere, right?). The kids were completely wiped out by Sunday night. Their cheeks were all red... either from the wind or the sun... but they had a great time! I can't wait to get the daycare kids outside this afternoon and let them run off some of their built up energy from this winter.

Happy Birthday!

Happy 7th Birthday, Cole! He has really enjoyed his day. He already has received his electronic Battleship game and he is really excited. He also got the new Mario game for his DS... that really made his day! We went to Happy Joe's for lunch and they sang him Happy Birthday... I have never seen his face get so red as it did today... It might have been because they made him stand up on the bench as we sang very loudly to him. He also won the jackpot of tickets on 2 games that he played... that never happens to us, so it must be his lucky day. It is unbelievable that he is 7 already... I just don't know where the time goes. He is so much trying to become his own person and discover things on his own. I love the new sayings that he is learning and using... as it really makes us realize that he is growing up... Here is one example: Zoe said to him the one day, "Did you know that 1+1=2?" Cole's response was, "Zoe that is so yesterday!" Where he comes up with these is beyond me... And he is more and more like his father every day...

School Concerts

We are always a little apprehensive when it comes to school concerts... The reasoning as to why: You never know what your child will do in front of 100+ people. I say this because last year our child was caught with his hand in his pants adjusting in the middle of a song... This year was so much different! Cole was completely into this concert and the songs... oh and the movements. I should have guessed this because he always singing and dancing at home... I think he gets this from me because his father can't carry a tune let alone a dance move to go with it. Cole was up on the stage dancing and singing... he really enjoyed himself and he didn't even worry about where we were sitting. He also had a line and remembered it wonderfully! I always catch every concert on video, so it will be great to watch back... especially when he is 20!
